Dr. Nandita Chowdhury
B.Optom (UoA), PGOT (UNSW)
Nandita is the principal optometrist of Picton Eyecare. She has over 15 years of extensive experience working in corporate and independent optometry practice. Opening Picton Eyecare in 2022 has fulfilled Nandita’s dream of an independent optometry practice, committed in serving the local community of Wollondilly and surrounding areas.
Nandita is caring and passionate about providing professional, personal and customised solution for every patient. She takes interest in all her patients and employs her skills and expertise to achieve the best possible outcome for the patient. She maintains great relationships with other medical professionals in the area.
Nandita is a local resident and has been working in the Southern Highlands for many years. She has a loyal following of patients who value her clinical and interpersonal relationships.
When not at work Nandita loves spending time with her family.
Melinda
Melinda is a qualified optical dispenser with over 15 years of experience. Her family has lived in the Wollondilly shire for 60 years.
Melinda has a wealth of knowledge in optical dispensing and eye for detail which set her apart. She will find the most suitable eyewear for your face to make you look and feel amazing. Melinda has a caring nature and loves building relationships with patients.
Outside work Melinda loves gardening, spending time with her dogs, visiting antique shops and local markets.
Elijah
With over 15 years of experience in optics, Elijah is passionate about helping people see better and feel genuinely cared for throughout their journey. Taking a hands-on and personalised approach, he believes the best outcomes come from listening closely, problem-solving, and building strong relationships with each patient.
Outside of the practice, Elijah enjoys expressing his creativity through coffee, tattoos, gaming, and music — interests that reflect his friendly, approachable nature and love of connecting with people. At the heart of his work is a genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of those he helps every day.
Aasif
Aasif is our trainee optical dispenser. He is confident, patient and quick to learn.
When not at work Aasif loves playing and watching cricket.
